SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The temperatures are warming, and gardening is in full swing at Lake Tahoe homes. These two things always prompt the next question: When do Farmers Markets open?

The wait is no longer.

There are four local markets to enjoy in South Lake Tahoe, Meyers, and Round Hill. The Nevada market opened last Saturday and will continue this week, while the other three markets start the first week of June.

Saturdays: Zephyr Cove Farmers Market on Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Round Hill Shopping Center, 210 Elks Point Road.

Tuesdays: El Dorado County Certified Market at the American Legion starts June 3. It runs from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Legion is located at 2732 Lake Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe.

SunSnow Event Company, a nonprofit, has the following two California Certified markets:

Wednesdays: Meyers Mountain Market in Tahoe Paradise Park starting June 4. It runs from 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. weekly. The park is located at 1011 E. San Bernardino Ave.

Fridays: Ski Run Market on Ski Run Blvd. between Larch & Tamarack streets starting June 6. The hours are 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.
