A memorial service for Suzanne M. Brown, 65, of Ogdensburg will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Oswegatchie Memorial Park with Deacon Mark Lalonde officiating. A celebration of life reception will immediately follow the memorial service at the Ogdensburg Dobisky Center. Suzanne died on July 23, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY, surrounded by her family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Ogdensburg.

Suzanne M. Brown was born on July 14, 1960 in Canton, NY. She was the daughter of Ronald and Nancy (Goolden) Petrie. She was a graduate of Hugh C. Williams High School in Canton. She held various jobs in her younger years to include; Newell’s Manufacturing and the American Cancer Society. For the majority of her working life she worked for Gardner’s Flooring and Furniture as a salesperson. She was previously married to David L. Brown Sr. She enjoyed trips to the casino, sewing and making quilts, tending to her flowers and photographing sunsets and birds. Most of all she loved to spend time with her friends, family, and especially her beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her mother Nancy Petrie of Ogdensburg, her children Brandi David and her husband Derek of Ogdensburg, Dirk Brown and his partner Debbie Aldrich of Ogdensburg, Shane Brown and his wife Crystal of Ogdensburg. Her grandchildren; Cody-Allen David and his wife Tori Peabody-David, Chyanne Brown and her partner Zac Richard, Cordell David, Arianna David, Janesha Brown, Connor Brown, Destiny Brown and Alexis Brown also survive her along with her siblings; Timothy Petrie of Ogdensburg, along with Sheila Bush and her husband Robert of Auburn.

She was predeceased by her father, Ronald Petrie, her daughter, Melissa “Emmy” Brown and her sisters Tammy Petrie and Robin Roth, she was also predeceased by her life-long friend, Elaine “Sissy” Smaciak.
