The Memory of our Sister Susan Ilene Coco
Susan “Sue” Ilene Coco, 61, of Bronxville New York, left this world suddenly on the morning of October 14, 2025. Born on November 18, 1961, in Englewood New Jersey, to Leonora and Allen Lesser, Sue was creative, compassionate, and had a wealth of knowledge on health.
Sue is survived by her brothers Edward, Keith and Jeffery, her sisters-in-law Rita, Jessilene and Stacy, her nieces Jessica, Rachel, Sydnie and Jayden and her nephews Samuel and Theodore; and a large, loving extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents.
A free spirit with an artist’s soul, Sue’s life was a canvas of vibrant experiences. Sue attended Temple University to study art which was a life passion. Sue always wanted to help people, and this led her to focus on health and wellness. After graduating from the School of Nursing at Saint Peter’s College of Nursing she began her career caring for the ill at Hackensack Hospital. She expanded her career to become a drug safety specialist and worked for many years in pharmacovigilance for Pfizer in New York City
Sue’s creativity extended to the kitchen, where she loved to experiment with flavors from her travels. Sue could create a feast out of anything without a cookbook. When Sue didn’t have time to cook, she would find the most delicious meals and baked goods which she would lavish you with when she came to visit.
In her later years Sue pursued her passion for painting. Sue was fortunate enough to retire early and pursue her love of art.
Our sister Sue will be laid to rest at Beth El Cemetery in Paramus on October 20, 2025, after a memorial service at Robert Schoem’s Menorah Chapel in Paramus.
