Susan Marie Jenson, a late resident of Poolville, TX, and more formerly from Brighton, MI passed away peacefully on October 11, 2025. She was 67 years old.

Susan Marie Jenson (Spisz) was born on November 21, 1957, to Henry and Gertrude Spisz. She was the fourth of six children. She was born in Detroit but lived most of her life in the Brighton, MI area.

Sue married the love of her life, Jan W. Jenson, on November 1, 1975. Sue was a strong person who started at a young age to raise and care for a family. She had two sons, James and Randy Jenson. She was a hard worker, taking her responsibilities seriously. She was loyal to her family and shared her love in the best ways she knew.

Sue faced many challenges in her life, yet she persevered, working full-time, being a wife, and a mother. For many years, she also battled chronic pain, but she kept going. The loss of her husband, Jan, in 2006 hit her very hard, and she struggled to rebuild a life without him. She once again persevered while holding his memory ever close.

Sue delighted in being a bocci to her four grandchildren: Taylor, Kyle, Emily, and Bailey, and also her three great grandchildren: Trinity, Roland, and Seth.

Sue had been battling cancer for the last few years, and she passed peacefully on October 11, 2025, in her home in Texas, surrounded by her family. She will be missed.

Daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude Spisz, Susan is survived by her children, James (Amy) Jenson and Randy Jenson; grandchildren, Taylor (Ryan) Hanson, Kyle Jenson, Emily Jenson and Bailey Jenson; great grandchildren, Trinity, Roland, and Seth Hanson; siblings, Michael (June) Spisz, Henry Spisz, Gary Spisz, Noreen Borg and Thomas (Tanya) Spisz; also many extended family and dear friends.

Visitation will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St., Brighton, MI 48116 on Friday, October 17, 2025 from 3 – 8pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Lynch & Sons Funeral Home, 600 E. Main St. Brighton, on Saturday, October 18, at 11am. Visitation will be from 10am until the time of service. Burial at St. John Catholic Cemetery will take place immediately following.
