Susan Morris Frost, passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 67. Born on September 8, 1958, in Mt. Holly, New Jersey, Susan was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She departed from us in Hendersonville, North Carolina, leaving behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and dedication.
Susan dedicated 35 years of her life to the Henderson County School system, where she retired after a distinguished career marked by unwavering commitment and passion for special education. Her devotion extended beyond her professional life as she actively participated in the Land of the Sky Garden Club and the Alpha Lambda Chapter of NCDKG the Society of Women Educators, finding joy and fulfillment in these communities.
A woman of faith, Susan was a committed member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, where she fostered deep connections and served with grace. Her academic pursuits led her to earn a BS from Longwood College and a MSEd from the University of South Alabama.
Susan was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Bettye Jo Morris. She is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Frost; her loving father, Lurie (Pete) Morris of Hendersonville, NC; her cherished children, daughter Loren Frost Bartlett and her husband Shane of Atlanta, GA, and son Lawrence Frost of Atlanta, GA; her adored grandchildren, Reagan Bartlett and Sawyer Bartlett of Atlanta, GA; her sister Diana Forrester and her husband Pat of Washington D.C.; and her brother Allan Morris and his wife Sharon of Jacksonville, FL.
Her family and friends will forever remember Susan for her kindness, wisdom, and the warmth she brought into their lives. A celebration of her beautiful life will be announced at a later date, where those who knew and loved her will gather to honor her memory.
