(S.K.) Starrling Kay Neal passed away peacefully the afternoon of Tuesday, June 17, 2025, with the love of his family and friends surrounding him.

S.K. was born in Beaver, Oklahoma on December 15, 1943, to James Calvin and Inez Louise Neal.

S.K. will be remembered by his wife of 59 years, Betty, Connie husband Stan Ashley, Carrie husband Rob Denby, Christina husband Michael Chesny. Grandchildren; Calvin Glover, Ashley Glover, Jacob Ashley, Madison Ashley, Courtney Sartin, Ralph Sartin, Brooklynn Sartin, Lucie Sartin, Katy Denby, Zoe Chesny, Keira Chesny, Alexandria Chesny Anastasia Chesny, Gabrielle Chesny, and Michael James Chesny as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

S.K. grew up on the Neal family farm near Logan, Oklahoma. He accepted the Lord as his savior at the age of 10 and was baptized at Mountain View Baptist Church. S.K. attended Sunset country school through the 8th grade, Darrouzett, Texas High School, his freshman year and finished high school at Beaver High in 1962. S.K. attended Oklahoma State Electrical School for two years. Due to his father’s declining health, he went home to work the farm and ranch.

S.K. married Betty Lou Cudd in August of 1965. They were married for 59 years. During the early years of their marriage, they enjoyed showing and competing in western pleasure and cutting horses. Their love for horses drew them to breeding, raising and training registered quarter horses and paint horses. He had a knack for sales, cars, tires, insurance, farm equipment, and fertilizer equipment. S.K. traveled all over Texas and Oklahoma making friends along the way. He worked for 10 years with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as a well inspector and retired from there. S.K. was called into full time ministry in 2009 and later that year was ordained as a minister at the First Baptist Church in Perkins, Oklahoma where they were active church members for 21yrs. He was a pastor at several Baptist churches in Oklahoma. Due to health reasons he had to discontinue speaking.

S.K. was a member of the Masonic Lodge #92 in Perkins, Oklahoma. He was an active member of the Gideon International in Stillwater, Oklahoma for 21 years. Shepherds Valley Cowboy Church in Alvarado and Glen Rose Texas was his church home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Calvin Neal, Inez Louise Pound Neal, his son Calvin Earl Neal, his two sisters, brother and a nephew.
