Stacey Odgers Bernardine, our incredible mom, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 29, 2025, in Palm Harbor, Florida, surrounded by the people who loved her most. She faced a terminal illness with extraordinary strength, never letting it dim her spirit or her faith. We are heartbroken, but the love we shared with her is something we would never trade, not even to escape the grief that comes with losing her.
Born on April 7, 1966, in Darby, Pennsylvania, Stacey grew up wrapped in the love of her parents, Mary Jane and Patrick McCloskey, and her brother Brian. From the very beginning, she was someone who gave her whole heart whether she was dancing around the living room as a little girl or lifting up everyone around her as an adult.
Stacey graduated from Ursinus College and went on to build an impressive career in the financial world. She was a force to be reckoned with, especially in a male-dominated industry, blazing a trail not just with her intelligence, but with her fierce compassion and unwavering integrity. As a financial planner, life coach, and author, she helped so many people find clarity, peace, and confidence. Her work wasn’t just what she did – it was who she was: always guiding, always giving.
The true center of Stacey’s world, though, was her family. Her husband, Chris, was her partner in every sense – her biggest supporter, best friend, and co-captain in creating a home full of laughter, faith, and unconditional love. Together they built a blended family rooted in respect, deep affection, and mutual admiration. Stacey adored her daughters, Brianna, Alexis, and Amanda, and her stepsons, Chris and Jake. They were her heart. She taught them how to love deeply, live fully, and trust in something bigger than themselves.
Stacey’s faith was the foundation of her life. She didn’t just talk about it – she lived it. She gave freely, served joyfully, and led with the kind of grace that only comes from God. Her church was a place where she both found strength and gave it, pouring her energy into a community she cherished.
Stacey lit up every room she walked into. She loved music and dancing – often being the one to get the party started (and keep it going). The beach was her happy place, a space that mirrored her soul: open, bright, and full of peace. She loved being on the water, boating with friends and family, soaking in the sun and the connection.
There really aren’t words big enough to describe what it was like to be loved by Stacey. She gave with her whole heart and showed up for people in the moments that mattered most. She left us far too soon, but the way she lived – boldly, lovingly, faithfully – will stay with us forever.
We miss her beyond words. But even in the depths of our grief, we feel the gift of having loved and been loved by her. That love is worth everything.
There will be a Mass at Saint Norberts Church located at 6 Greenlawn Road, Paoli, PA 19301, on Saturday August 9th at 11am. Visitation will be held from 10-11am before the Mass.
