Spencer Howard Olson, born on June 29, 1954 in Ridgecrest, California; devoted father, beloved friend, and respected chiropractor, passed away peacefully in his home in Annapolis, Maryland on September 8th, 2025, at the age of 71.
Spencer was predeceased by his parents, Charlene and Howard Olson, as well as his cherished siblings, Lori Olson and Maurice Sheppard.
He is survived by his two children, Nicholas Olson and Lara Isham; his grandchildren, Skyler and Ava Olson, and Lykan Isham; and his brother, Wayne Olson. He will also be dearly missed by his niece and nephews.
Spencer was a valued member of his community. His life’s work as a chiropractor was both his profession and his passion, bringing comfort, care, and friendship to many. His longtime assistant, Sandy Wallace, and countless patients will miss him dearly. Beyond his career, Spencer devoted himself to the AA community, where his guidance and compassion helped many find hope, peace, and a better life.
Spencer loved life deeply. Whether out on a sunny day playing golf, cheering for his favorite football or baseball teams, or tinkering in his garage workshop. His children hold many fond memories of time spent together at games and in those everyday moments that made him who he was.
Spencer was a believer in Lemurian Philosophy. To him, death was not an end but a transformation; a casting aside of this earthly form and taking flight into the next. Each cycle, he believed, brought him closer to God. We can only hope that in his next life, he is as well loved and happy as he was in this one.
A memorial service will be held on September 27th from 1:00pm – 4:00pm. Please meet at Galesville Memorial Hall; 952 Main St, Galesville, MD 20765.
