Sister Mary Pizzorno, PBVM

Sister Mary Christina Pizzorno, PBVM (religious name Sister Mary Frances Cabrini) a Sister of the Presentation for seventy-sixty years died at Peninsula del Rey residence on May 21, 2025. A native of Los Angeles, she was the daughter of Egidio Pizzorno and Carmela Verdisco Pizzorno.

Sister Christina leaves her loving Presentation Sisters, her sister, Emma Lee, nieces and nephews, and extended family.

Her teaching and other ministries took her to schools and parishes in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Montebello, Alhambra, San Pedro, Gilroy, and Berkeley, as well as Pecos and Albuquerque, New Mexico.

 Sister Christina had a long and deep relationship with our Lady of Lourdes Parish and School, Los Angeles, where she attended the elementary school, returning at different periods to teach and serve as a teaching assistant over many years.

Services will be held at All Saints Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery, Colma on June 6, 2025: 10:00 a.m. a Rosary will be recited followed by remembrances; funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. immediately followed by interment.
