Simona Rodriguez

Simona Rodriguez, age 95, of Gilbert, Arizona, passed away on September 13, 2025 at Mercy Hospital.

Born on October 14,1929 in Los Angeles, California. Simona was known for strong Catholic beliefs and fervent dedication to prayer, we in fact thought she would become a nun. Although she didn’t, I came across a letter which Simona wrote later in her life, where she had reminded God of her desire since the age of seven about her strong willingness to pursue the life of Sainthood. I believe that this was the sole reason for her living her life in deep prayer and Charity. 

Simona Rodriguez was preceded in death by her parents Juan and Francisca Rodriguez, brothers and sisters were Raymond Rodriguez, Anthony Rodriguez, Lenore Garza and Mary Villa, she was the last of her siblings. Although Simona was never married nor had any children, she left behind a great legacy of nieces and nephews, who inspire to live a good and fruitful life like Simona once did.

In her lifetime, Simona was known for her generosity and kindness. She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all

who knew her.

beginning at 9:30am with the Rosary followed by Mass at

10:00am
