Shelly Lynn (Fabian) Grafton, 61, of Cumberland, went peacefully to be in her glory with the Lord at the Morrison House in Zanesville surrounded by her family on Sunday (August 24, 2025) after a long battle with cancer.
She was born June 26, 1964, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Henry Fabian and Sandra (Albright) Fabian.
Shelly was a 1982 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, where she and her friends were members of the first-ever Flag Corp (Colorguard) at the school. Shelly was always a caregiver throughout her life, whether it was through her work or later as a caregiver for family members and friends. She loved nothing more than her big family, fixing big dinners and yummy desserts for everyone to enjoy. She made sure no one ever left hungry.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Brian Fabian; and an infant brother, Thomas Fabian.
Shelly is survived by her loving husband of forty years, Delmar Grafton, whom she married on May 11, 1985; her five children, Delmar (Heather) Grafton, Travis (Heather) Grafton, Steven (Ronda) Grafton, Kayla Grafton, and Michelle Grafton; her loving grandchildren, Aaron, Austyn, Arik, and Alivia Grafton, T.J. (Emily) Grafton, Zachary (Sarah) Grafton, Ashley (C.J.) Moore, Joshlynn (Clayton) Grafton, Steven Grafton, and Braiden (Kayden) Dickens with the first two great-grandchildren on the way; her sister, Jen (Ted) Fannin; her nieces, Vanessa, Emma, and Ella Fannin; and her great-nephew, Noah Collins. Shelly also had many close aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held on Friday (August 29, 2025) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Black-Epperson Funeral Home, Byesville, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating.
Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
