Shelia Leonard-Smith

Rev. Shelia Ann Leonard-Smith, 71, passed away on August 29, 2025. She was born Feb 6, 1954 to Rev. Clarence Smith Sr. and Shirley Leonard in Birmingham, AL.

She is preceded in death by her father, Rev. Clarence Smith Sr; mother, Shirley Leonard-Smith; sisters, Ethal Toodles and Clarada Gadson; brothers, Johnathan Smith and Reginald Smith.

She leaves to cherish her memory her son, Justin Lawrence of Colorado Springs, CO; brothers, Clarence Smith Jr of Arkansas, Tyrone Smith of TX, Quentin Smith of Maryland; sister, Vellobie Smith of Alabama.

She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees at Alabama State University. Rev. Shelia Ann Leonard-Smith was an elementary school teacher in Bullock County Schools. She was also a Pastor at New Style UMC in Clanton, AL and St. Paul UMC in Montgomery, AL.
