Clinton-Sharon Ann (Connelly) Moran, 84, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed peacefully on Tuesday August 5, 2025. She is survived by her children Shawn Moran & wife Joanie; Christopher Moran & wife Kara; Karen Curren & husband Mike; and Aaron Moran; two sisters, Susan McNamara, and Jane Day; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. She is pre-deceased by her ex-husband William Moran, son William Moran III, and brother John Connelly.
Sharon was born in Clinton to the late J. Milton & Jeanette (Connery) Connelly. She graduated from Clinton High School Class of 1958, where she was a fine cheerleader who could always be seen cheering on the Galloping Gaels. She was a lover of sports of all kinds and very much enjoyed watching Notre Dame, and all of her children and grandchildren playing in their games. She enjoyed spending time at Cape Cod, going to the beach, and camping. Sharon was a woman of great faith and parishioner of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton. She was actively involved with the community, and helped out many at WHEAT Community Connections. Sharon lived every day with love and compassion, her door was always open and she was the first to help another in need.
A calling hour will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 8:30-9:30AM in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with A Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated at 10AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton, and burial to follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Lancaster.
