Shannon Lee Bonds, 54, of Scottsdale, Arizona, passed away on August 1, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on October 19, 1970, in Trenton, Michigan, Shannon was the cherished eldest daughter of Richard and Kathleen (Lee) Bonds. She grew up surrounded by a loving and close-knit extended family, a source of immense pride and joy throughout her life.
Shannon’s early years were spent in Trenton, Michigan, before the Bonds family relocated to Arden Hills, Minnesota, in the 1980s. There, she attended Mounds View High School, graduating in 1989. The family eventually settled in Scottsdale, Arizona, in the mid-1990s. Shannon’s pursuit of knowledge led her through six universities, culminating in a bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University.
A woman of deep values, Shannon cherished family, friends, faith, and hard work. Her colleagues and loved ones can attest to her steadfast dedication to excellence and her genuine care for those around her. Shannon was a devoted employee at Yandy for the last 16 years where she exemplified professionalism handling even the most unusual customer feedback with grace and humor. Her family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the leadership at Yandy for their unwavering support and compassion shown throughout her tenure there but especially during the past few months. Her nurturing spirit leaves a void that will be felt by all who knew her, as we ponder how to navigate life without her boundless love and support. Her faith in Christ was a guiding light, evident in her every word and deed.
Shannon’s home was a hub of warmth and hospitality, where everyone felt welcome. Her storytelling prowess, inherited from her father, was legendary, often shared over a favorite cocktail after a busy week. As a consummate hostess, Shannon was always impeccably dressed, her signature pink lipstick a testament to her vibrant personality.
Shannon is survived by her beloved sisters, Colleen (Brian) Connon and Katie (Al) Dambrauskas, her cherished nieces Courtney Connon and Addy Dambrauskas, and her nephew Jake Dambrauskas. She was predeceased by her parents, Dick and Kate (Lee) Bonds, and her dear nephew Danny Connon. Shannon’s absence will be profoundly felt by her family and friends and work colleagues who’s lives she touched.
In celebrating Shannon’s life, we honor the indelible impact she made on the world and the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will continue to inspire us all.
