Saugus – Seppo A. Konola, 73, passed peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025. He was predeceased by his father, Veikko J. Konola in 2015, and his mother Ritva S. Konola in 2023.

He is survived by his brother Jukka T. Konola & wife Julia M. (Kilcoyne) Konola of Sterling; 3 nieces, Sarah R. (Konola) Chanler & husband Andrew of Berlin, Mary E. Konola of Plymouth, Susan J. (Konola) Harmon & husband John of Sterling, and nephew Timothy J. Konola of Clinton; and great-niece and nephew Ava Grace and Isaac David Chanler.

Seppo was born in Tampere, Finland and emigrated to the United States with his family in 1956. He graduated from Nashoba Regional High School in 1969 where he played baseball and ran cross-country. He attended Wentworth Institute before working for the J. L. Hammett Company and Barr Associates. Seppo was a talented self taught artist and enjoyed highly detailed pen and ink graphic art. He also produced many paintings in multiple styles and media. He enjoyed listening to rock and roll music and recalled many details for groups and songs from the 50s, 60s and 70s. He was an avid Boston Red Sox and Patriots football fan. Uncle Seppo will be dearly missed.

The family is grateful for the support and healthcare provided by all the staff at Melrose Wakefield Hospital.

Funeral service and burial will be held privately under the direction of Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
