Selah Faith Revor was born February 3, 2022. She was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome and Kabuki syndrome. She spent all of her 476 days of life at Lurie Children’s Hospital in downtown Chicago. She flew home to Jesus on May 25, 2023 at 3:33 PM. She was surrounded by her family and the amazing staff at Lurie who cared for her so well.
In spite of everything she went through, she smiled all the time. She was the brightest ray of sunshine. Everyone who walked into her room loved her. She was very suspicious of the nurses when they came to poke her, she could give a mean side eye. However, the times she was truly happiest was when her family was with her. She would light up when her mama talked to her. She always turned to see her daddy’s voice, and her attention was always drawn to her sister.
She was so well known by everyone on the 22nd floor of Lurie Children’s Hospital that nurses would answer their phones and say they were in Selah’s room without giving a number. Everyone knew where her room was. Everyone knew who she was and loved her from the check-in desk, cleaning crew, guards, physical and occupational therapists, doctors, and nurses. Lurie Children’s Hospital truly gave their all for our one. We will be forever grateful for the care they provided Selah.
Selah Faith Revor will be missed immensely by her father Jacob, mother Sarah, and big sister Hadassah and the entire extended family. She also had an army behind her praying every single day. Everywhere we go we hear stories of people that were praying for Selah.

I Thessalonians 4:13-14–“Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep with Him.”
