Sarah Morse

Sarah Josephine Morse, 87, of Bella Vista, Arkansas, passed away on October 30, 2025.

Born in Weatherford, Texas, she was the daughter of Col. and Mrs. Robert Steele Jones, Sr. Sarah spent her early years in Oxford, Mississippi, and Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Paschal High School in Fort Worth. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Home Economics from Texas Tech University and completed her dietetic internship at Baylor Medical Center.

A member of Delta Gamma, she served as Second Vice President and later worked as a clinical dietitian at Great Rivers Medical Center in Blytheville, Arkansas. After retiring, she moved to Northwest Arkansas to be near her family.

An avid reader, she loved spending time outdoors—especially on her deck in Bella Vista and at her property, Sandiff, on Greers Ferry Lake.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. and Mrs. Robert Steele Jones, Sr.; her brother, Lt. Col. Robert Steele Jones, Jr.; and her nephew, Frank Jones. Survivors include her son, Mike, and his wife, Gloria; her grandson, Michael; her daughter, Melinda; her niece, Julia Jones Reynolds, and her husband, Glenn; and her great-niece and great-nephew, Claire and Conner.

A memorial service will be held at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Rogers, Arkansas, on November 11 at noon. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Presbyterian Children’s Home and Services in Itasca, Texas, where her mother spent her childhood and to which Sarah faithfully contributed throughout her life.
