Sandra Gagliano

Sandra L. (Gyetvay) Gagliano age 78 passed away suddenly in her home.

She is survived by her former husband Rick (Linda) Gagliano, sister Lynn (Mike) Bacile, brother Kenny (Lia) Gyetvay, brother-in-law Joe (Dorothy) Gagliano, sister-in-law Marguerite Wilfong, many nephews, nieces, a great nephew and a great niece.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis & Margaret Gyetvay, her sister-in-law Rita Gabella and brother-in-law Tom Wilfong.

Sandy was born in Michigan but moved to Florida in 1968 when she became a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines. Being fluent in Spanish, she was an asset to Eastern flying often to South America.

After Eastern Airlines dissolved, Sandy went back to school and became a registered nurse working in nursing until her retirement.

Sandy had a passion for music and dance. She loved going to concerts and was part of the Coral Gables Jr. Woman’s Club for years. She remained close to her Woman’s Club friends and also close to her flight attendant friends from Eastern. She gathered often with friends and family.

While working in nursing and after she retired, Sandy had a passion for volunteering with the Women’s Cancer society of Miami.

Sandy’s memory will continue on and will be forever in the hearts of her family and friends.
