Sandra Bader

Sandra Jeanne (Sandy) Bader, 83, passed peacefully at home on August 14th. She was the loving wife of Larry Bader who survives her.

Sandy loved get togethers with family, animals, especially dogs, camping, long phone calls with friends and family, painting, music, her “card club” friends, sightseeing and traveling (on the land vs in the air), cooking (especially therapeutic chopping), children (even adolescents), and reading. Among her strengths, she was encouraging, artistic, supportive, dependable, compassionate, determined, and courageous.

Thank you to Compassus Hospice who helped make her final weeks more comfortable and to Carlson Funeral Services for the care and dignity they provided.

She is also survived by sons Timothy Bader (Kathleen), Jeffrey Bader (Wynne), and Christopher Bader (Madeline), as well as grandchildren Andrea (Garrett) Gronberg, Jesse Bader, Zachary (Brooke) Bader, Sarah Bader, Erika Bader, Jacob (Amanda) Bader, and Emma Bader, as well as great-grandchildren Aidan Woodward, Gavin Gronberg, Olivia Bader, Annabelle Bader, Claire Gronberg, Sophia Bader, and Odion Irabor, in-laws Roger and Lois Bader, Warren and Pat Bader, nieces Laurie DeVillers, Lisa Ragan, Wendy Bader, and April Gunderson, and nephews Steve DeVillers, John Bader, Aaron Bader, Garritt Bader, and Jordan Bader.

She was preceded in death by parents Wallace and Dorothy (Wetak) DeVillers, brother James DeVillers, and sister-in-law Marjorie DeVillers.
