Sandra Abbatiello

Sandra Abbatiello passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025 at age 95.

Sandra was born in Durazzano, Italy and immigrated to the United States in 1956 on the Andrea Doria.  She lived temporarily in New York and shortly after settled permanently in her beloved Lake Worth, Florida. Sandra worked in catering at the Mar-A-Largo estate until 1971. She continued to work tenaciously in the service industry until her retirement in the mid 1980’s. 

Sandra enjoyed visiting her family in New York and Italy. Her favorite pastime was tending to her garden of vegetables and  tropical fruits and plants which she treasured. Sandra would spend her days enjoying the serenity of the Lake Worth Beach  town. Free spirited and strong willed in nature, Sandra touched the lives of those who knew her with profound wit and humor  and will be tremendously missed. 

Sandra is predeceased by her mother Teresa (ladevaia), father Pietro, sister Antoniette, brother Vincenzo and brother-in-law  Saverio. She is survived by her sister Filomena, Francesca, Tommasina (Domenico), brother Agostino (Raffaela) Sister-in law Rosemarie, Brother-in- taw Domenico and many nieces and nephews. 

To honor Sandra’s memory, a Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church in Lake Worth on July 5th, 2025 at 1 p.m.
