Samuel Lonzo McAllister, age 80, passed from this life Thursday, November 6, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. McAllister was born in Woodville, Alabama to his late parents William McAllister and Inez Smith McAllister. He was a McDonald’s franchisee for a while before turning to farming. Mr. McAllister was a self-made man that came from humble beginnings who lived modestly and did a lot of good behind the scenes. He was a loyal man to his friends and family. In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, classic cars, and loved Alabama football. He also had a wicked sense of humor.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by son, Dexter McAllister; siblings, Paul McAllister, Thomas McAllister, Cathryn Prichitt, and Geneva Elrod.
Mr. McAllister is survived by his wife of 12 years, Judy McAllister; step-son, Michael Forehand (Jennifer); step-daughter, Elizabeth Alexander (William); brothers, John McAllister (Linda) and James McAllister (Vicky); sister, Nellie Jones (Kenneth); grandchildren, Michael Forehand III, Zachary Forehand, Beck Forehand, Isabella Alexander, Madison Alexander, and Jack Alexander; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 10, 2025, from 10:30am until 1:30pm at Central Funeral Home in Manchester, TN. Graveside services will follow at 2:00pm at Forest Mill Cemetery in Manchester, TN, with burial to follow.
