Salvatore Henry Genco September 6, 1937 – September 4, 2025

With love and sadness, we announce the passing of Salvatore Henry Genco on September 4, 2025, just two days before his 88th birthday. Born on September 6, 1937, in M’Sila, Algeria, Salvatore lived a long life defined by devotion to his family. He will be remembered most for his sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor, which could brighten even the hardest of days. His laughter and lighthearted spirit left an imprint on everyone who knew him.

Salvatore also found joy in music, especially playing the accordion. In his later years, he delighted residents of various assisted living facilities with his music, bringing joy and comfort to many through his performances.

Salvatore was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine, with whom he shared many years of love and companionship.

He is survived by his daughter Sandra, son Joseph and daughter-in-law Tiffany. He was a proud grandfather to Christy (husband Scott) , Megan, Joey (wife Layne), Michael, Nick (wife Kristen), Serenity, and Ethan. His joy multiplied with the arrival of his great-grandchildren-Charli, Henry, Shaw, Enzo, and Ayvah-each of whom brought him immense happiness.

A visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 1:30-3:30 p.m., followed by a funeral service at 3:30 p.m. at Sunwest Funeral Home, 12525 N.W. Grand Avenue, El Mirage, AZ 85335. Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well lived.
