Sally Tober

Sally Wieland Tober passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona. Born on June 26, 1941, in Cleveland, Ohio, Sally’s life was a testament to the power of hard work and the joy of giving.

Sally spent much of her life serving those around her. A master in the kitchen and at the sewing machine, she cooked and baked with love, creating warmth and comfort for family and friends. Her crafts, quilts, and sewn outfits were not just pieces of fabric, but tangible expressions of her care and attention to detail. Sally’s generosity knew no bounds; her spirit of giving extended well beyond her immediate circle.

Her adventurous spirit shone brightly as she accompanied her husband on scouting adventures, supporting him and the scouts with enthusiasm and dedication. Sally’s faith was a cornerstone of her existence, with diligent scripture study filling her whole life.

Sally’s joy was multiplied when she danced with her husband; her grace in these moments was a beautiful sight to behold, a reminder of the simple pleasures that make life so precious.

Sally shared 64 years of marriage with her husband, Ron Tober, and together they raised a beautiful family. She is survived by her sisters, Janet Painter and Susan Guibord, her children, Debbie Shumway (Donn), Becky Johnston (Steve), Ronnie, Elizabeth Turner (James), John (Kathy), Hilda Blatchford, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who are blessed by her legacy and influenced by the skills she instilled in her children. She was predeceased by her son, Steven, and dear husband, Ron.

Sally will be laid to rest in West Resthaven Cemetery with a funeral preceding at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 12951 N 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ on June 7th at 10am.
