Russell Eric Sandler, lovingly known as Russell to his family and friends, passed away surrounded by loved ones on the 20th of July, 2025, in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 23, 1954, in Bristol, Pennsylvania, Russell’s joy for life and his unwavering spirit were apparent from his early days. A proud graduate of Buck County Community College and a student at Penn State University, Russell was not only educated but also immensely skilled with his hands. His passion for crafting and creativity led him to a fulfilling career as a business owner and cabinetmaker. Russell’s work was more than a profession; it was an art that provided him with immense satisfaction and pride. Customers and those that knew his work spoke highly of his dedication and the meticulous care he put into every piece he crafted.
Russell’s interests were as varied as they were passionate. Russell found joy in the wind rushing past him on motorcycle rides, the precision and creativity of leatherwork, the strategy and movement of pickleball, the simple pleasure of a walk, and most importantly, the invaluable time spent with his family. Russell’s spirit can be encapsulated in three words: loving, kind, and thoughtful. He approached every relationship with an open heart and mind, never failing to make those around him feel loved and valued. This was evident in the beautiful life he shared with his wife, Patty Sandler, and the love he showered upon his children, Madison and Katie.
Russell’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his legacy is one of enduring love and kindness. He taught us to embrace life’s journey with zest, to infuse artistry into our endeavors, and to treasure the moments we have with our loved ones. Though he may have departed from this world, his spirit continues to inspire all who were fortunate enough to have known him. We say goodbye to Russell Eric Sandler, a man of integrity, a beacon of love, and a true craftsman of life. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were graced by his presence. May his soul find the eternal peace it so richly deserves.
