Rose M. Erath

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Family Historian

Rose M. Erath passed away peacefully in her sleep. She was a devoted wife, nurturing mother, proud grandmother and great-grandmother, and the cherished keeper of countless stories, memories, and family traditions.

Born and raised in New York, Rose lived a vibrant life filled with laughter, resilience, and unwavering love for those around her. She was the heart and soul of every gathering—organizing Cousins Club card nights, retelling hilarious family tales, or lovingly giving “the eye” when someone misbehaved.

She shared a beautiful, lifelong partnership with her husband, Donald Erath. Together they navigated the adventures of military life, raised their son, and built a home filled with music, warmth, and humor. Rose is survived by Donald and their son, David Erath. She was the proud grandmother of David Jr., Ryan, and Patrick, and the adoring great-grandmother of Hunter, Eloise, Sofia, and Penelope.

Rose had a passion for researching her family’s ancestry that bordered on obsession. Her kitchen table was often covered in old records, handwritten trees, and ancestral discoveries that connected generations. Her work has ensured that her family’s stories will never be lost.

She leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the kind of wisdom that only comes from a life well lived. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and the countless stories she preserved.
