Rosa Lee Mullins Bergstrom, 82, passed away on June 20th, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona surrounded by her close family.

Born on August 10th, 1942, in Barwick, Kentucky, she was the oldest daughter of Ed and Stella Mullins. At the age of 18 she joined the Women’s Army Corps, where she served for 3 years and met her husband, Eugene Bergstrom. They were married for 29 years until his passing in 1993. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Willie, Sambo, Florence, Dona, and Wilson; and her stepson Donald. Rosa is survived by her siblings, Farmer, Ed Jr., Phyliss, and Kathy; her son, Darryl, his wife Joan, and their three children, Amanda, Eric, and Alex; Alex’s wife, Carly, and their daughter Lilah; stepdaughter Judy and her husband, Chuck; and stepson, James.

After being honorably discharged from the military, Rosa continued to be involved in her community, working at the Post Exchange on various military bases, as well as serving as the Free and Reduced Lunch Administrator for the Roseville school district in Minnesota until her retirement in 1999.

Rosa is remembered for her strong will and determination. Her love for the little things in life, such as bingo, pre-1990s country music, and Nutty Buddy peanut butter bars, will live on through her family. Rosa will be buried with full honors in Fort Snelling National Cemetery. She will be greatly missed.
