Ronald Johnson

Ronald Wayne Johnson, 78, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025. Ron was born on March 29, 1947, in Marietta, Georgia to Grace and William Johnson. He attended Georgia Tech, where he studied Mechanical Engineering and bravely served in the US Navy as a pilot during the Vietnam War. Ron was an expert in countless fields, including engineering, mechanics, historical renovation, and hospitality management. Most recently, Ron provided his talents as a Facilities Manager with Innovative Health, always taking pride and ownership in everything he did. Outside of work, he was a pillar of the community as a long term resident of the F.Q Story neighborhood with his family and his rescue dogs.

Ron is remembered by family and friends as the person who you could always count on, he would never rest until he helped everyone he could. It was actually impossible to tell him to relax when he felt the call to support loved ones and strangers alike.

He woke up every day ready to take on the world and was truly a patriarch his family is more than lucky to have had. His daughter reflected that he “never took a rest on making me feel loved, and I will spend the rest of my life living up to his legacy.”

Ron is survived by his wife Andrea Bakus Johnson, his children Alexandra Johnson, Dena Johnson, and Neal Johnson, grandchildren Benjamin Nandin, Ella Flatgard Johnson, and Orion Johnson.

An open-house celebration of life will take place Sunday November 16th from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at Ron’s “second home,” a facility that he’s single-handedly built, Innovative Health at 1435 North Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, AZ Suite 100.

Thank you everyone for joining us to celebrate a truly very special man’s life.
