Ron Wood Family Resource Center announces retirement of Executive Director Joyce Buckingham 

The Ron Wood Family Resource Center announces the retirement of Executive Director Joyce Buckingham, who has dedicated nearly two decades of service to the organization and over 30 years to the field of social services.

Joyce will retire within the next few months. 

Joyce joined the Ron Wood Family Resource Center in 2006 and has served as Executive Director since 2014.

Under her leadership, the organization expanded programs and services that support children, families, and individuals throughout Carson City and surrounding rural communities.

Her unwavering dedication to the Center has made a lasting impact on this community. 

“Joyce has been deeply dedicated to the Ron Wood Family Resource Center,” said Acting Board Chair Trina Dahlin, “Her deep commitment to helping families and her tireless advocacy for social services have shaped Ron Wood into the excellent resource it is today.” 

Joyce’s legacy will live on through the programs she helped build. Joyce is looking forward to spending time with her family and enjoying her retirement. 

The Board of Directors is currently conducting a search for the next Executive Director to continue the important work Joyce so passionately led.
