Robert Mohler Sr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Robert Dean Mohler Sr., who departed this life on July 16, 2025, at the age of 76. Robert was born on April 1, 1949, in Killbuck, Ohio. He was a devoted husband, father, friend, and a proud steelworker who dedicated many years of his life to Republic Steel.

Robert graduated from high school and went on to forge a successful career in the manufacturing industry. However, it was not just the grind of work that defined him; Robert found joy and peace in many passions. He planted his love in the fertile ground of gardening, cultivated friendships around the campfire while camping, and found tranquility by the water’s edge while fishing. A true animal lover, Robert’s home was filled with the playful antics of his beloved cats, who were cherished members of the family.

As a lifelong fan of Cleveland sports, Robert passionately cheered on his favorite teams, embodying the spirit of a true sports enthusiast.

He is preceded in death by his parents Maurice Mohler and Bonnie Mohler; brothers, Michael Mohler and Richard Mohler; and son, Robert Mohler Jr.

Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Mohler; daughter, Connie (Mark) Mayle; grandchildren, Mark (Olivia) Mayle, Mathew (Britney) Mayle, and Megan (Tyler) Foutty; sister Nancy McGrady; and special family member Thaddeus (Hannah) Tyson. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him and loved him.

Friends and family are invited to come together to celebrate Robert’s life and legacy during calling hours on July 23, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Reed Funeral Home Canton Chapel. We encourage everyone to share stories, laughter, and love as we honor a wonderful man who brought light and joy to the lives of others.
