Robert Dermid

Robert “Bob” Dermid, 93, passed away on Thursday, December 4th, 2025. He was a lifelong resident of the Henderson County community, an Army veteran and operated Dermid’s Exxon service station for over 50 years.

He is preceded in death by his father and mother, James Dermid and Rosalee Davis Dermid, brothers and sisters James “Junior”, Harry, Virginia and Mary Ella. His wife Wilma Dermid and daughter Debbie.

He is survived by a granddaughter, Robyn Scroggs and her husband, Jon, of Mills River; two great-granddaughters, Canaan and Evie, of Mills River; a sister-in-law Glenda Carland, of Mills River; a sister-in-law, Wilma Hill, of Flat Rock, and several nieces and nephews.

Rev Todd Eaton and Mr. Jason Davis will be officiating the ceremony.
