Robbie Blankenship

Robbie Lee Blankenship, 55, of Galloway, Ohio, passed away peacefully at his home on August 18, 2025. He was born on May 17, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio, to Julius (Homer) Blankenship and the late Joann Blankenship, whom he dearly loved and missed every day.

A proud graduate of Canal Winchester High School, Robbie lived a life centered on family, love, and nature. He shared 28 wonderful years with his life partner, Jesse Cruz. Together, they explored the outdoors, spending countless hours in nature and cherishing the quiet beauty of the Kentucky hills. Robbie had a green thumb and took great pride in his garden, always finding joy in nurturing life from the soil. He also had a deep love for his dogs, who were his constant companions and a source of comfort and happiness.

Above all, Robbie had a big heart for family. He never hesitated to lend a hand, and his kindness and generosity left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his father, Julius (Homer) Blankenship; his siblings, Randy Blankenship (Barbara), Ronald Blankenship (Beth), and Tresa (Blankenship) Durkin (Don); his nieces, nephew, and great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved partner, Jesse Cruz. Robbie’s memory will live on through his family, his friends, and the many lives he touched.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Robbie’s life at Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral Home, 7915 E. Main St., Reynoldsburg, Ohio 43068 on August 25, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with a service beginning at 1 p.m. Burial follows at Franklin Hills Memory Gardens in Canal Winchester, Ohio.
