Richard Habraken

WARREN – Richard T. Habraken, age 85, entered into eternal rest Friday, August 22, 2025 at home, in the company of those he loved. He was born November 21, 1939 in Kent, the son of Joseph and Catherine (Hostler) Habraken.

A graduate of Kent Roosevelt High School, Richard was a hard-working and skilled union electrician with the IBEW. An avid golfer and fisherman, he also liked to follow the Indians and Browns. His favorite activity was his heart-warming time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as his many nieces and nephews.

Precious memories of Richard live on with his beloved wife, Carole (Kostalek) Habraken; his sons, Scott of Warren and Michael Habraken of Bristolville; four grandchildren: Paige Habraken and Brendan Habraken (Kayla), both of Debary, Florida, Sara McCandless (Cole) of Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania, and Justin Habraken of Kent; two great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Colby McCandless, both of Slippery Rock; his sister, Donna Matteson of Ashland; and his brother, Jerry Habraken of Sevierville, Tennessee.

Preceding him in death are his parents; his daughter-in-law, Lisa Habraken; two sisters, Rita and Mary Catherine Taylor; and two brothers, Robert “Pete” and Bill Habraken.
