Richard Francis Haas, age 81, of Linn Creek, Missouri passed away on June 19, 2025. He was born on December 28, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois; a son of Frank Haas Sr. and Bernice (Amundson) Haas. He was united in marriage to Dianna on November 10, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois.
Richard graduated from Chicago Vocational High School in 1961 and joined the US Army in 1966, where he served his country for two years. He worked as a sales representative for an office machine company for years and later became a videographer for weddings and special events in the Chicago area. After their retirement, Richard and Dianna relocated to the Lake of the Ozarks in 2011. Richard always remained a faithful fan of the Chicago Bears.
He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. Over the years he enjoyed racing pigeons and keeping large aquariums of saltwater fish. He was a lover of great food and always appreciated a good meal and always praised the cook. Richard also spent many years on the board of directors of Camdenton Senior Center.
Richard is survived by his wife, Dianna Haas; three sons Mark (Amy) Haas of Linn Creek, Gregory (Linda) Haas of Arizona, Dennis (Kelli) Haas of Texas; grandchildren Kate, Morgan, Luke, Sydney, Logan, Gregory, Christopher, Jennifer, Ryan; great-grandchildren Zane and Kason. Richard was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Hedges-Scott-Millard Funeral Services on Hwy 42, Osage Beach, Missouri. Full Military Honors will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. before the Celebration of Life begins.
In lieu of flowers, donations are request to the Zach Wheat American Legion Post 624, 852 American Legion Road, Sunrise Beach MO 65079.
