Renaldo Raymundo

Renaldo, Renny, Raymundo, of Bronx, New York, was a proud Italian whose warm and irreplaceable presence touched all who had the blessing of knowing him. He was a beloved son, brother, partner, husband, father, papa, grandfather, uncle, and friend. Renny passed away peacefully at the age of 79 on July 22, 2025.

Born on January 14, 1946, in the Bronx to Bob and Margaret Raymundo, Renny was raised on Gun Hill Road alongside his five siblings. He attended a local elementary school and Monroe High School, all while working with his parents and siblings in the family’s candy store.

After joining the Army Reserve, Renny became a New York City Police Officer with the Midtown South Precinct, where he served with bravery and unwavering dedication to his blue family. He was an inspiration to many, always embodying the “eye of the tiger” spirit—never giving up. Renny left an unforgettable mark of happiness and positivity on everyone around him.

Renny’s passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his spirit continues to guide and uplift all who knew him. He had a remarkable way of lighting up every room, every social club, every dance floor, and every heart. Whether playing cards, tinkering with his tools, relaxing with a cigar, cheering on his Yankees and Patriots, watching the horses, quoting The Godfather, singing and listening to his Doo-wop music, telling vivid stories, or cherishing moments with his grandchildren, Renny made everyone feel seen, heard, and truly cared for. His humor was effortless, and his warmth boundless.

Survived by his loving family, Renny’s enduring spirit will forever live on in our hearts. He will be deeply missed—beyond words—and will remain present in our prayers, laughter, and everyday triumphs. To embrace Renny is to remember his gift for bringing peace in sorrow and joy in every moment. He will always be remembered and loved for exactly who he was: a kind-hearted, sincere soul.
