Regis Rosario Deleon

Regis Rosario DeLeon, known affectionately by friends and family as Rey, embodied a spirit of joy and laughter that could light up the darkest room. Rey, born on December 27, 1951, in the vibrant town of Humacao, Puerto Rico, was reunited with his wife, Sonia, in the eternal life beyond on November 12, 2024.

Rey’s early life in Puerto Rico laid the foundation for his lifelong love of dancing and music. His love for playing chess was just as deep and he loved playing every chance he had. His approach to life was to treat it like a game of chess—always play your best move, but never forget to enjoy the game.

Rey’s legacy includes a lineage of children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who inherited his quick wit and kind heart.

As we celebrate the life of Regis Rosario DeLeon, let’s honor his memory by living as he did—with laughter, love, and a little bit of salsa.
