Locke, Reginald Willis “Reg” – Passed away peacefully at Helen Henderson Care Community on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the age of 93, surrounded by the love of his life, Mary and his family.
Reg is survived by his wife of over 70 years; Mary (nee Wills) and children Thomas (Elaine), Brian (Jan), and Gregg (Vicky). He will be missed by his grandchildren Chad (Jessie), Tyler, Kyle (Jen), and Leanne (Christian), loved by his eight step-grandchildren, their spouses and 17 great-grandchildren. Reg is also survived by his sister Joyce Gardner (late Bill) and sisters-in-law Lois Wills (late Dick) and Claire Wills (late Tom). Reg’s puppies Charlie and Willow will miss visits to the nursing home.
Reg was a founding member of Kingston Township Minor Hockey League. He was integral in the building of Centre 70. He was President of Kingston Voyagers for a number of years. He had a huge love of sports cheering on the Buffalo Bills and Toronto Maple Leafs. He was also an avid golfer. He loved his home on Lake Kashwakamak and missed it tremendously when he and Mary moved into Kingston in 2018. Reg treasured his friendships he made during his time there. Reg was loved by all those who met him.
The family will be accepting visitors on Monday, October 6, 2025, from 11:30 am – 12:50 pm with the service beginning in the chapel at 1:00 pm. For those unable to attend in person, please CLICK HERE to attend via livestream. There will be a reception to follow in the Celebration Centre. Memorial donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society or Canadian Tire Jump Start Program in Reg’s honour.
