Raymond Newman

Raymond passed away peacefully after a long journey with cancer on July 24, 2025 in St. John’s surrounded by his loving family.

Leaving behind, heartbroken, his wife, soul mate, and best friend Lori; daughters Abigail and Heather (Cat); mom Shirley; sisters Wanda (Ron), Daphne (Dave), and Debbie (Alan), and a large, loving extended family. His rubs and cuddles will be missed by his furry friends Annie and Finn. He is predeceased by his father, Raymond.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, July 26 from 2-5pm and 7-9pm at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Avenue, Mount Pearl. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, July 27 at 2pm at Barrett’s Mount Pearl Chapel. 

Raymond was an incredible inspiration to those who were fortunate enough to know him. He was the perfect example of how to be loving, kind, and strong. With an indomitable spirit and loyal heart, he cared fiercely for his many loved ones. May his memory forever be a blessing to all who knew him.
