It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ramona Marie Nordin. Beloved mother who peacefully passed away November 30, 2024, at the age of 95. Ramona was an incredible, kind, dedicated woman who was truly the pillar of her family. Born April 21, 1929 in Callaway, Minnesota (White Earth Reservation), she graduated from Greenway High School. She met and married her beloved husband Theodore and from there they moved to Texas and Hawaii with his job until making their home in Granbury, Texas. She was known for being solid in her faith and her love for her family, for her amazing artistic ability, and for being her family’s bright and shining matriarch. She dutifully attended St. Francis Cabrini Catholic Church. She loved any type of music with a beat, so she could dance. She loved painting and the red roses from her garden. She had a strong love for all of her family. Her personality was warm and affectionate, and she will be sorely missed by all those who knew her. She has gone home to Heaven to meet her husband Theodore, parents Joseph and Mary LaDoux, brothers Lawrence and Bill LaDoux, sisters Elizabeth Applebee, Gladys Merhar, and Evelyn Mollegren. Ramona is survived by her Sister, Carol Simonson, Sons, Theodore and wife Donna, Nels and John, Daughters Penny Applewhite and Lynn English and husband Richard, seven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Celebration of Life services will be held at Martin’s Funeral Home, Granbury, Texas on Sunday, December 8th at 2:00 p.m. with Visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m.
