Ralph Lane
Ralph E. Lane, 61, of Damascus, VA passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 at Johnston Memorial Hospital, Abingdon, VA. He was born in Washington County, VA on October 6, 1963, a son of John Edward “Ed” Lane and Eileen Parks Lane. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clarence and Myrtle Parks; and his paternal grandparents, Walter and Ella Lane; and also has four Angel grandkids.
He was a life long resident of Damascus, VA and was of the Baptist Faith. He drove a truck for many years prior to his retirement from Public Works for the town of Damascus, VA. He loved riding his motorcycle and his boat, putting model cars together, and playing with his German Shepherd dogs.
In addition to his parents, Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Vivian Hill Lane; four children, Tasha Fisher (Chris), Nicole Osborne (Adam), Paige “Blondie” Lane (Jawan), and Richard “Bub” Lane (Katie); nine grandchildren, Greg, Joshua, Carma, Skylar, Keira, Blakleigh “B”, Ezekiel “Zeke”, Dixie, and Remmington “Rem”; two special young men he considered his sons, David and family and Clifton and family; a sister, Jennifer Snead (Jamie); and several nieces and nephews who he loved.
Per Ralph’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations could be made to help offset the cost of expenses.
