Peter Hyndman

April 10, 1939 – Québec City, Québec

July 6, 2025 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heartfelt love and gratitude that the family of Peter Hyndman announces his passing on Sunday, July 6, 2025, at the age of 86 years.

Peter will be lovingly remembered by his children, Stacy (Darren), and Drew (Kelly); his granddaughter, Erika; and his grand dog, Nash, all of whom brought him great joy and happiness. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Eleanor.

Peter grew up in Montreal, QC, but was transferred to Calgary, AB, in 1962, never looking back, as he built a life filled with adventure. In 1964, he met Eleanor, and together they found joy in travel, skiing, and biking. Peter was rarely without his camera, capturing the beauty of each journey, and treasured family moments along the way. From carving turns in Whitefish, MT, to gliding through the quiet trails of Lake Louise, AB, he embraced each shared moment in the mountains with pure delight.

Peter will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for family and friends. He lived fully and inspired those around him to find adventure in each day.

Sincere thanks to the caring staff at Aspen Heights Retirement Residence and the Rockyview General Hospital, as well as the many friends and family who supported him throughout his journey.

At Peter’s request, no formal service will be held.
