Peggy Baldwin

Peggy Anne Baldwin, affectionately known as Peg to her friends and loved ones, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025, at the age of 62.

Peg is survived by her children, Sara (Aaron) Wurster, Keli, Adam (Olivia), and Jacob, and their father, Tom Baldwin; her grandchildren, Madison, Kyler, Ana, Lily, Timothy, and Samuel; her mother, Shelby Bjerke; siblings, Cheri (Tom), Wendy, Kim (Russ), Teresa, Becky, Lisa, Bobbi Jo, Dennis, Mark, Craig, Robin, Scott, Michael (Melissa), and Tammy; her cats, Reid and Maeve; and an army of nieces, nephews, friends, and loved ones. She is welcomed Home by her son, Isaac; her best friend, Lady; Robert Clark, Elizabeth Baldwin, William (Grandad) and Lydia Melvin, Tilferd Bjerke, and Julie Holton.

Peg was born in 1962 to a local gang in New Lisbon known fondly as “The Clark Kids.” She enjoyed an early career leaving her mark on the locals with stubborn rebellion and bullheaded optimism. In short order she met Tom, and despite trial or temper, mothered five children whom she loved more deeply and dearly than any had the right to ask for.

In all her affairs, Peg demonstrated a simple legacy above all others: keep an eye for the little joys along a hard road. Whether in giving a voice to animals, blessing everyone she met with a treat or trinket to spare, or simply doggedly standing by the underdog, Peg lived life relishing in the joy of others’ joy, especially that of her grandchildren.

Her loss is heavy, but no burden to be borne alone. We will come together as a community and a family to celebrate Peg’s legacy. On July 20th, beginning at 11am, a Celebration of Life will be held at Riverside Park in New Lisbon, near the dam where she learned and loved to swim. If tears are to be shed, let them be in joyful stories and laughter, and let the longing for more memories with her be replaced by new memories we create together in her honor.
