Paciencia Balitbit
With deep sorrow and great love, we announce the passing of Paciencia (Pacing) Balitbit, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and faithful servant of God, who departed this life on July 16, 2025, at the age of ninety.
Born in Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Paciencia lived a life marked by strength, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion to her family, her faith, and her calling. A proud and resolute nurse for over 40 years. She found deep purpose in her work and countless lives with care and compassion.
Paciencia courageously left her homeland and the family she cherished to pursue work in the United States determined to build a better future. Through tireless efforts and grace, she made that dream a reality, reuniting her family and planting roots in California.
A devout Catholic, Paciencia was a pillar of her church community. She prayed faithfully and served joyfully, always ready to lend a helping hand or share words of wisdom and warmth. Her quiet strength and generous heart touched everyone she met.
Paciencia is lovingly remembered by her four children, Wilfredo Balitbit, Wilma Snider, Willa Ackerman and Willaine McCleod; nine grandchildren, and one great-grandchild, along with extended family and friends who were blessed by her presence. Her legacy of love, resilience and faith will live on through them.
She is now reunited with her husband, Godofredo Balitbit and those loved ones who went before her. Her spirit rests peacefully in the presence of the Lord she so faithfully served.
An 8-day novena will be held at St. Elizabeth Seton starting on Wednesday, July 23 at 6:30pm in one of their classrooms.
A service and ninth day novena will be held on Thursday, July 31st at 1pm at Daniel’s Chapel of the Roses, located at 1225 Sonoma Ave, Santa Rosa, CA 95405.
Funeral service and burial will be held on Friday, August 1st at 11am at St. Elizabeth Seton, located at 4595 Snyder Ln, Rohnert Park, CA 94928, and burial immediately following the mass at Cavalry Catholic Cemetery, located at 2930 Bennett Valley Rd, Santa Rosa, CA 95404.
