Dear Family and Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of the passing of Mr. Octavio M. Loya Jr., age 68. He peacefully passed away on September 17, 2025, at the Regional Medical Center in San Jose, California, surrounded by his loved ones.
Octavio was born on June 15, 1957, in Big Spring, Texas, the beloved son of Octavio A. Loya and Urena Loya. He was preceded in death by his wife, Teresa Lopez of 40 plus years. Mr. Loya loved his four Brothers,four sisters, many cousins, and adored his nieces and nephews.
Octavio later moved to live in San Jose California leaving behind a cherished family: his five sons, Joey Loya (44), Juan Manuel Loya (42), Ricardo Loya (41), Sammy Loya (40), and David Loya (34), residing in San Jose, California and Texas. He is also survived by two devoted daughters-in-law, Brenda Loya and Andrea Loya.
Ocatvio Jr. was a dedicated member of the union for 37 years, and an experienced painter who found joy in his craft. His favorite pastimes included playing cards and spending quality time with the loves of his lifeāhis grandchildren: Eli Angel Loya, Sophia Marie Loya, Aaliyah Loya, Octavio Loya III, David Loya Jr., Leiah Loya, Melody Urena Loya, and Lila Loya.
We remember Octavio for his skill, dedication, and the warmth he shared with family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.
