Nilda Castro

Nilda Ysabel Castro , 90, of San Francisco, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her two loving sons on June 5, 2024.

Nilda was born on November 14, 1934 in Cuba. There she met and married the love of her life, Adriano Castro. They had two children, Carlos and Adriano.

Together they lived as a family in Havana Cuba until 1976 when they immigrated to San Francisco, California.

Nilda had a passion for Cuban music and never missed an opportunity to dance.

She was a loving and dedicated mother who cherished her family .

Nilda’s longtime friend Graciela Oropeza was an integral part of her life. Graciela’s generosity and kindness allowed Nilda to live out her life comfortably in her own home. The family will forever be grateful for Graciela’s friendship.

Nilda is survived by her two sons, Carlos and Adriano, and her four grandchildren, Analisa, Maximiliano, Angelina, and Elie.

A memorial service will be held at DRISCOLL’S VALENCIA STREET SERRA MORTUARY on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 1 PM to 5 PM .
