Nicholas Lettieri

Nicholas Lettieri, 79, of Cranford, New Jersey passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was born in 1945 in Middle Village, Queens to parents Nick and Barbara (Kastner) Lettieri. Nick graduated from Fordham University in 1967 with a degree in Chemistry and worked for many years in the chemical production industry. He married his Fordham classmate Renee (Forget) in 1968 and were happily married for 57 years.

Nick was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was involved in the Cranford Baseball League as a coach, equipment manager and league president. He enjoyed gardening, home improvement projects and spending time with his grandchildren. His favorite team was the New York Yankees, and his favorite song was “Stairway to Heaven.”

He is survived by his wife Renee and their three children: Brian, Nick and David, his daughters-in-law: Amanda, Becky and Susan and his five grandchildren: Bodhi, Logan, Hannah, Donovan and Rosalie.

Viewing will be held on Sunday, June 15 from 4:00pm-8:00pm at Dooley Funeral Home, 218 North Avenue, Cranford, NJ. Funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th, 10:00am at St. Michaels Church, 40 Alden Street, Cranford, NJ.
