Nancy O’Brien

Nancy Louise (Onore) O’Brien, age 77 of Stratford, passed away, Monday August, 18, 2025 in Hewitt Health & Rehab Shelton. Nancy was born February 20, 1948 in Bridgeport daughter of the late Nicholas and Elizabeth (Silver) Onore Sr. and had been a lifetime area resident.

Nancy was secretary to various attorneys in the Stratford area. She lived a selfless life, one that was led with kindness, generosity and compassion and will be missed and forever loved. She enjoyed spending time with her extended family especially playing and winning at cards. She also enjoyed baking and was famous for her apple pies.

Survivors include her sister Mary Fahey of Stratford; two brothers Nicholas Onore Jr. of New Haven and Joseph Onore of Stratford; one daughter Melanie O’Brien and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Nancy was predeceased by her sister Joanne Auwood.

At the family’s request all services were private, the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main Street, Stratford CT 06615 was entrusted with her care.
