August 25, 1940 – April 22, 2025

Nancy L. Murray, 84, of Duncansville, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday evening, April 22, 2025. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late David E. and Betty L. (Hoover) Ehredt. In 2001, Nancy married Robert C. Murray.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Bob; her daughter, Tracy A. Stiffler (Jimmy) of New Florence; and her three sons: William S. McCarthy (Elisa) of Fabius, NY., Scott W. McCarthy (Cindy) of Milton, DE., and David M. McCarthy (Sherry) of Altoona. She was a proud grandmother to 12 grandchildren: Justin, Daria, Brittany, Brianna, Garrett, Christopher, Nicholas, Jordyn, Hunter, Liam, Evan, and Aidan; and great-grandmother to 9 great-grandchildren: Kenedi, Camden, Lainey, Isabelle, Dominic, Emerson, Jake, Drew, and Graham.

She is also survived by her three brothers: David E. Ehredt, Dennis M. (Joyce) Ehredt, and Duane J. (Colleen) Ehredt; and her two sisters: Barbara L. Kyle (Jim) and Mary Lou Repsher (John).

A 1958 graduate of Altoona Catholic High School, Nancy dedicated over 30 years of her career to WTAJ-TV, where she served as a valued secretary. She was a devoted member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Duncansville and held the position of Leader at TOPS #467 of Duncansville.

Nancy enjoyed traveling, especially to the beaches of Florida. She loved the challenge of board games, with Scrabble being a particular favorite. Above all, Nancy’s true passion was her family. She cherished the time spent with them and was their biggest and loudest supporter at their sporting events.

Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral Mass at 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 3, 2025, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in Duncansville. A private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Altoona. Arrangements are by The Good Funeral Home Inc., Altoona.
