It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Myrna Aribas Montero who left us on October 22, 2025. She was born on November 29, 1948 in Santa Ana which is a district in the City of Manila, Philippines to Ireneo Aribas and Helen Pabelico. She was 76 years old.
Myrna and Glenn Montero were united in marriage on November 13, 1993 at City Hall in San Francisco, California. They made their home in Daly City California for 25 years before moving to their home in Elk Grove, California in 2018. They have been married for 32 years.
She obtained her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at the University of the East in the Philippines. She worked with the City and County of San Francisco as a medical biller and retired after 22 years of service.
Myrna is a courageous, strong, and determined woman. She raised two children, was a devout Catholic, cancer survivor, and dedicated wife and mother. She loved to travel, plan road trips, was an avid foodie (especially loved Starbucks Caramel Macchiato), and going on shopping sprees.
Myrna is survived by her husband Glenn Montero, her children Jessie A. Ruiz III (Michelle Ruiz, daughter-in law) and Joanne M. Cuenca (Jojo Cuenca, son-in-law). Her memory will be cherished by her grandchildren: Jenaci L. Ramirez and Gabriella N. Ruiz.
