Milton Smith

SMITH, Milton C. – of Flint, MI, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at Henry Ford Genesys Hospital. A Private Graveside Committal Service will be held at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Humane Society of Genesee County or Genesys Hurley Cancer Institute.

Milton C. Smith was born in Flint on July 6, 1942, son of the late Leo and Frieda (Effinger) Smith. He married Sharon Allen on August 10, 1963, in Burton. She preceded him in death July 4, 2016. Smitty worked at Buick City for more than 30 years until his retirement, staying until they closed the Buick City line on June 9, 1999. He enjoyed woodworking. Bud often could be found watching any and all Detroit sports teams. Milton had a deep affection for animals, especially his dogs. He will long be remembered as a dedicated family man.

Milton is survived by his two children, Debra (Dwight) Billings and Daniel Smith; one granddaughter,

Katie (Cody) Charbeneau; siblings, Patricia Kauffman and Roger (Katie) Smith; many other loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents and his wife, Milton was preceded in death by three siblings, Leo Smith, Dio “David” Smith, Barb Berry.
