Mike Steger, Sr.

Mike Steger, age 63, lifelong Lombardian, passed away on August 15th, 2025.

Dear dad to Michael Steger Jr. and Heather Steger; loving grandpa to Christian Steger, Emily Steger, Thomas Steger, Sampson Garvey; brother to Joseph (Laura) Steger; uncle, relative and friend of many.

He is proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Jo Ella Steger.

Mike lived most of his life in Lombard. He was a graduate of the Class of 1980 from Glenbard East High School, where he played basketball. As a true Lombardian, Mike enjoyed going to the Lilac Parade. Later, he bought his childhood home from his parents and raised his own family there.

He loved his grandchildren and being a Grandpa.

Mike enjoyed swimming and camping.

Mike was a sports fan, especially the Chicago Cubs and the Oakland Raiders.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday August 19th from 3:00 PM to 7:00, with a Funeral Service at 4:00 PM at Brust Funeral Home, 135 S. Main St., Lombard, Il.
